Pinpoint Test 3: No Power In Start/On

NO POWER IN START/ON - PINPOINT TEST REFERENCE

PINPOINT TEST 3		NO POWER IN START/ON
STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	CHECK CIRCUIT (LG/V) FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND Key OFF. Disconnect the SJB J-2280a. Disconnect the Ignition Switch C-250. Measure the resistance between the ignition switch C-250 pin 1 circuit (LG/V), harness side and the SJB J-2280a pin 7 circuit (LG/V), harness side; and between the ignition switch C-250 pin 1 circuit (LG/V), harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the components, and greater than 10,000 ohms to ground?	Yes	Go to next step.
1		No	REPAIR circuit (LG/V) for an open or a short to ground. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
2	CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH Carry out the Ignition Switch Inspection. See IGNITION SWITCH INSPECTION . Is the ignition switch OK?	Yes	Go to next step.
2		No	INSTALL a new ignition switch. See IGNITION SWITCH . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
3	CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION Disconnect all the SJB connectors. Check for: corrosion pushed-out pins Connect all the SJB connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present?	Yes	INSTALL a new SJB. See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) .
3		No	The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
