Speed Control Cable - 3.0L: Installation

1. Insert the cruise control cable slug into the cruise control actuator pulley slot.
   1. Gently push the retaining spring.
   2. Insert the cruise control cable slug completely into the cruise control actuator pulley slot.

   CAUTION:

   • It is necessary to squarely seat the cruise control cable cap and seal around the cruise control actuator pulley.
   CAUTION:

   • Incorrect wrapping of the cruise control cable around the cruise control actuator pulley may result in high idle conditions.
   NOTE:

   • Make sure the rubber seal is fully seated onto the cruise control cable cap.
2. Align the cruise control cable cap tabs with the slots in the cruise control actuator housing.

3. Rotate the cruise control cable cap until the locking tab engages.

4. Connect the cruise control cable to the throttle body.
   1. Connect the cruise control cable to the accelerator cable bracket.
   2. Connect the cruise control cable to the throttle lever.
