Thermostat Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Remove the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ] .)
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS .) (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in Fig 1.
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
