DTC P2103 DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P2103 Throttle actuator circuit high input
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • PCM monitors the throttle actuator circuit current. PCM detects throttle actuator circuit current excessive high, PCM determines that the electronic throttle actuator circuit malfunction.

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
  • MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
  • PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • DTC is stored in PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Short to power supply between throttle body terminal E and PCM terminal 2B
  • Throttle valve motor malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
