DTC P0222 DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

TP sensor No. 2 circuit low input |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- If PCM detects TP sensor No. 2 voltage below 0.05 V , 0.2 V
after ignition switch to ON, PCM determines that TP circuit has a malfunction.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunction conditions in first drive cycles.
- PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
- DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- TP sensor malfunction
- Connector or terminal malfunction
- Open circuit between throttle body terminal C and PCM terminal 2AL
- Short to ground between throttle body terminal C and PCM terminal 2AL
- Open circuit between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 2AO
- Short to ground between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 2AO
- PCM malfunction
