CHECK FUEL PUMP FOR OPERATION
- Verify that the battery is fully charged.
- Verify that the fuel tank assembly connector 0114-04 is securely connected.
- Key ON, Engine OFF (KOEO).
- Connect WDS or equivalent tester to DLC.
- Access the active command for the fuel pump.
- Press START to run fuel pump and listen for fuel pump operation.
- Press STOP.
- Did the fuel pump operate?

CHECK FUEL PUMP FOR CONTINUITY
- Key OFF
- Disconnect fuel tank unit connector.
- Check for continuity between fuel tank unit power (W) and ground (R) terminals.
- Is continuity present?

Yes |
Go to next step. |
| No |
REPLACE fuel pump unit. See

CHECK VOLTAGE AT FUEL PUMP VEHICLE HARNESS CONNECTED
- Disconnect fuel tank module connector.
- Key ON, Engine OFF (KOEO).
- Access the active command for the fuel pump.
- Press START to run fuel pump and measure the voltage at the power terminal (P/B) of the fuel tank module connector 0114-02.
- Press STOP.
- Is voltage greater than 10.5 volts?

CHECK fuel pump relay and fuel pump shutoff switch. |

CHECK FUEL PUMP GROUND CIRCUIT
- Fuel tank assembly connector 0114-04 disconnected.
- Measure resistance between tank module connector 0114-02 ground terminal (B) and chassis ground.
- Is resistance less than 1 ohm?

Yes |
Ground circuit is OK. RECHECK fuel pump. |
| No |
REPAIR open circuit on connector to chassis ground circuit. |
