Front Seat Removal/Installation
WARNING:
- Handling the front seat (side air bag) improperly can accidently deploy the side air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS before handling the front seat. See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
CAUTION:
- For vehicles with the dual-stage deployment air bag system, when the passenger's seat is removed, perform the seat weight sensor inspection using the WDS or equivalent after installing the passenger's seat. See SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION & CALIBRATION .
- For vehicles with the dual-stage deployment air bag system, when the passenger's seat is replaced with a new one, perform the seat weight sensor calibration using the WDS or equivalent. See SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION & CALIBRATION .
- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min. or more .
- Remove the seat belt anchor. (Passenger's seat only). See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .
- Remove in the order indicated in the table/figure.REMOVING/INSTALLING FRONT SEAT
