Shift Lock Actuator Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the steering column assembly; see STEERING COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the insert plate and the shift lock actuator.
    1. Remove the bolts.
    2. Remove the insert plate and the shift lock actuator.

    NOTE:
    • The shift lock actuator clip is an assembly aid for the assembly plant and does not need to be replaced.
  3. Remove the insert plate from the shift lock actuator.
    • Remove and discard the shift lock actuator clip.

  4. Install in reverse order of removal.
