Removal Note

Raise and support the vehicle.
NOTE:
- To maintain initial propeller shaft balance, mark the rear propeller shaft yoke and axle flange so they may be installed in their original positions.
Mark the rear propeller shaft.

Remove the rear propeller shaft; see PROPELLER SHAFT REAR (4X2) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION or PROPELLER SHAFT REAR (4X4) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
Remove the transmission mount nuts.

Raise and support the transmission.

Remove the transmission mount.
1. Remove the transmission mount-to-extension housing bolts.
2. Remove the transmission mount.
