Child Safety Seat Tether Anchor

  1. Deactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS); see DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the affected seat.
  3. On vehicles equipped with a bucket seat or 40 percent bench, remove the bolts and the child safety seat tether anchor.

  4. On vehicles equipped with a 60 percent bench, remove the 60 percent bench seat; see SEAT BACKREST FRONT-60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the bolts and the child safely seat tether anchor.

  6. Install in reverse order of removal.
