Installation Note:

WARNING:
  • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow warnings, cautions, and notes at the beginning of the removal procedure.

All Vehicles 

  1. Install the inboard recliner and the nut.

  2. Install the outboard recliner and the nut.
  3. On supercab vehicles, install the two plastic locks.

  4. Install the linkage. Latch the plastic locks.

  5. On all vehicles, install the LH and RH seat tracks as an assembly.

  6. Install the bolts.

  7. Install the bracket and the bolts.

  8. Install the bolt.

  9. Install the seat backrest recliner link cable.

  10. Install the seat track adjustment lever.
    1. Install one side of the seat track adjustment lever at a time.

  11. Install the push nuts.

  12. Install the spring clip on the recliner handle. Install the recliner handle.

  13. Install the spring.

    Vehicles without safety belt buckle pretensioners 

  14. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.
    1. Install the front seat backrest. See SEAT BACKREST FRONT - 60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
    2. Install the seat armrest. For additional information, see SEAT ARMREST FRONT - 60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .

  15. Install the 60 percent bench seat. See SEAT BACKREST FRONT - 60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .

    Vehicles With Safety Belt Buckle Pretensioners 

  16. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.
    1. Install the front seat backrest. See SEAT BACKREST FRONT - 60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
    2. Install the seat armrest. For additional information, See SEAT ARMREST FRONT - 60 PERCENT BENCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
      WARNING:
      • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the safety belt buckle and pretensioner removal and installation procedure.
    3. Install the safety belt buckle and pretensioner. See SEAT BELT BUCKLE AND PRETENSIONER - 60 PERCENT BENCH .
      WARNING:
      • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the seat removal and installation procedure.
    4. Install the 60 percent bench seat. See SEAT BUCKET FRONT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
      WARNING:
      • To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury, the backup power supply must be depleted before repairing or replacing any front or side air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) components and before servicing, replacing, adjusting or striking components near the front or side air bag sensors, such as doors, instrument panel, console, door latches, strikers, seats and hood latches.

      To deplete the backup power supply energy, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least one minute. Be sure to disconnect auxiliary batteries and power supplies (if equipped).

    5. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
      WARNING:
      • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.
    6. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND ACTIVATION  .
    7. Connect the negative battery cable.
    8. With all restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). See AIR BAG SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS .

    All Vehicles 

  17. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. See AIR BAG SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS .
