WARNING:

All Vehicles 

  1. Position the front seat backrest.

  2. Install the RH recliner bolt.

  3. Install the LH recliner bolt.

  4. Install the LH pivot bolt.

  5. Install the RH pivot bolt.

    Vehicles Without Safety Belt Buckle Pretensioners 

  6. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.
    1. Install the seat armrest.
      WARNING:
      • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the seat removal and installation procedure.
    2. Install the 60 percent bench seat. See SEAT FRONT - 60/40 SPLIT BENCH DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY  .

      Vehicles With Safety Belt Buckle Pretensioners 

  7. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.
    1. Install the seat armrest.
      WARNING:
      • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the seat removal and installation procedure.
    2. Install the 60 percent bench seat. See SEAT FRONT - 60/40 SPLIT BENCH DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY  .
      WARNING:
      • To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury, the backup power supply must be depleted before repairing or replacing any front or side air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) components and before servicing, replacing, adjusting or striking components near the front or side air bag sensors, such as doors, instrument panel, console, door latches, strikers, seats and hood latches.

      To deplete the backup power supply energy, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least one minute. Be sure to disconnect auxiliary batteries and power supplies (if equipped).

    3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
      WARNING:
      • To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.
    4. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND ACTIVATION  .
    5. Connect the negative battery cable.
    6. With all restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). See AIR BAG SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS .

    All Vehicles 

  8. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. See AIR BAG SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS .
