Assembly Note

- Slide the boot clamp and then the small opening end of the slip yoke boot on the splined stub shaft as far as it will travel.
- Install the small propeller shaft slip yoke boot clamp.
Use clamp pliers to crimp the small propeller shaft slip yoke boot clamp.
- Install the propeller shaft slip yoke.
- Lubricate the stub shaft splines and pull the propeller shaft slip yoke boot towards the propeller shaft.
- Use appropriate grease.
- Fill the propeller shaft slip yoke boot with approximately 10 grams of lubricant.
- Use appropriate grease.
- Position the large propeller shaft slip yoke boot clamp.
- Align the index marks made during disassembly and install the propeller shaft slip yoke.
- Lubricate the stub shaft splines and pull the propeller shaft slip yoke boot towards the propeller shaft.
- Install the large propeller shaft slip yoke boot clamp.
- Remove any excess grease from the differential slip yoke boot and propeller shaft slip yoke surfaces.
- Position the propeller shaft slip yoke boot over the propeller shaft slip yoke boot groove.
- Position the propeller shaft slip yoke to specification from the propeller shaft weld to the end of the slip yoke splines.
- Bleed air from the propeller shaft slip yoke boot.
- Use clamp pliers to crimp the large propeller shaft slip yoke boot clamp.
