Shift-Lock Inspection
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Verify that the selector lever is in the P position.
- Verify that the selector lever cannot be shifted from the P position without depressing the brake pedal.
- Depress the brake pedal and verify that the selector lever cannot be shifted from the P
position.
- If a malfunction is found, inspect the interlock cable. (See INTERLOCK CABLE INSPECTION .)
