Service Intervals: Transaxle

Under normal driving conditions, manufacturer does not recommend replacing transmission fluid. Service transmission fluid at 30,000-mile intervals when vehicle is used under any of the following conditions:

• Repeated short trips of less than 10 miles.
• Driving in dusty, sandy or wet conditions.
• Driving with an extended use of the brakes.
• Driving in areas where salt or other corrosive materials are being used.
• Driving on rough or muddy roads.
• Extended periods of idling or low speed operation.
• Driving for long periods in cold temperatures or extremely humid climates.
• Towing a trailer or using a car top carrier.
