Thermostat Removal/Installation: AJ: Notes

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the air cleaner. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ] .)
Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
Remove in the order indicated in Fig 1.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Add the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
Inspect the engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION .)
