Transmission Range Switch: Installation
Rotate the manual shaft to the Neutral position. Hand-tighten the TR switch bolt. See Fig 1 . Install a new packing. Install a new lock washer. Tighten the manual shaft lever nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bend claws of the lock washer. Adjust the TR switch. See TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH under ADJUSTMENTS. Tighten the TR switch mounting bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Rotate the manual shaft to the Park position. Install the manual shaft lever. Install the selector rod to the manual shaft lever.
