Detection Condition

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set if input voltage from Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor indicates intake air temperature is 104°F (40°C) greater than engine coolant temperature input from Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. This is a continuous monitor (CCM). MIL illuminates if PCM detects the malfunction condition during first drive cycle. Pending codes is available, if PCM detects malfunction during first drive cycle. Freeze Frame Data is available and DTC will store in the PCM memory.
