VICS Shutter Valve Actuator Check

Disconnect vacuum hose from VICS shutter valve actuator. See Figure . Connect vacuum pump to actuator. Slowly apply vacuum. See VICS SHUTTER VALVE VACUUM APPLICATION (PROTEGE & PROTEGE5)  table. If rod does not move, disconnect rod and check rod and valve for freedom of movement. Apply vacuum and verify VICS shutter valve rod retracts. Replace as necessary.
