Detection Condition
DTC is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) signal and found than vacuum is above 15.7 IN. Hg (-3.92 kPa) for 10 seconds, under following conditions:
- Intake Air Temperature (IAT) is more than 14°F (-10°C).
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is 212°F (100°C) or less.
- Vehicle speed is 61.9 MPH or less.
- ECT at engine first started is 95°F (35°C).
This is a continuous monitor (CCM). MIL illuminates if PCM detects malfunction condition in 2 consecutive drive cycles. Pending code is available if PCM detects malfunction conditions during first drive cycle. Freeze Frame Data is available and DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
