Detection Condition
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors input voltage from Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor after ignition key is on. If input voltage at PCM terminal 4X is below 0.86 volt, PCM determines that MAF circuit has a malfunction. This is a continuous monitor (CCM). MIL illuminates if PCM detects malfunction condition during first drive cycle. Therefore, pending code is not available. Freeze frame data is available and DTC will store in PCM memory.
