Valve Body: Installation

  1. Position the manual valve so that it protrudes from the control valve body end by 0.21" (3.0 mm). See Figure . Install the control valve body while holding the manual valve in the position and tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Connect the solenoid harness connectors, then install harness clips. Apply a light coat of silicon sealant to the contact surfaces of the side cover and transaxle case. Install the side cover and tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the heater pipe, hoses and bracket. Install the oil cooler hoses and oil cooler pipes. See OIL COOLER HOSES & PIPES  . Install the splash shield. Install the air cleaner assembly. See Figure . Fill vehicle with coolant. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING in 2.5L V6 article in ENGINES.
  4. Install the battery carrier, battery tray, and battery. Connect the battery cables. Inspect for oil leakage from the oil pipes and oil hoses. Inspect for coolant from the hoses. Carry out the hydraulic pressure tests, then perform road test. See PERFORMANCE TESTS in JA5A-EL DIAGNOSIS article. Inspect the ATF level and condition. See LUBRICATION  .
