MILLENIA 2.3L: Adjustment

  1. Turn ignition switch off. Ensure throttle valve is at CTP. Disconnect TP sensor connector. Connect ohmmeter between CTP switch terminals "C" and "D" of TP sensor connector. See Fig 1 . Insert a feeler gauge of specified thickness between throttle lever and Throttle Adjusting Screw (TAS). See TP SENSOR CONTINUITY (MILLENIA 2.3L)  table.
  2. Loosen TP sensor screws. Rotate TP sensor until ohmmeter indicates continuity as specified. See TP SENSOR CONTINUITY (MILLENIA 2.3L)  table. Tighten TP sensor screws. Recheck TP sensor adjustment. If CTP switch cannot be adjusted within specification, replace TP sensor.

Test Condition (1) Continuity Between Terminals "C" & "D"
.008" (.19 mm) Yes
.015" (.37 mm) No
(1) Insert feeler gauge of specified thickness between throttle lever and throttle stop screw.
