Accessing Parameter Identification (PID) Information

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to data link connector. Enter vehicle information on NGS tester. After all vehicle options are selected, press SAVE key. Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK TEST, then select GEM - GENERIC ELECTRONIC MODULE on NGS tester. Enter appropriate vehicle options on NGS tester. Select PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD. Move cursor on NGS tester to desired PID and press TRIGGER key. To retrieve that PID information, press START key on NGS tester.
