Battery Inspection

  1. Measure voltage of battery. If battery voltage is more than 12.4 volts exists, go to step  3 . If battery voltage is less than 12.4 volts, go to next step.
  2. Quick charge for 30 minutes and check voltage again. If battery voltage is more than 12.4 volts exists, go to next step. If battery voltage is less than 12.4 volts, replace battery.
  3. Apply test load to battery using a battery load tester and record battery voltage after 15 seconds. See BATTERY LOAD TEST  table. Is voltage more than specification, go to next step. If voltage is not more than specification, replace battery.
  4. Inspect the charge eye condition. If condition indicates battery is okay, system is okay at this time. If condition indicates that battery is not okay, replace battery.
