Description & Operation

Tilt steering column tubes are fitted with a tilt mechanism that allows the steering column tube to adjust up or down.

WARNING: See Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . The air bag system is powered directly from the battery, through a fused circuit, and a back-up power supply which is combined with the diagnostic monitor. To prevent accidental air bag deployment, air bag system must be disabled before servicing any steering column component. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
