DTC P1518: Variable Tumble Control System (VTCS), Stuck Open: Condition

DTC is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects high voltage from VICS solenoid valve with VICS solenoid valve on. This is a continuous monitor. MIL is illuminated when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects malfunction during two consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• Open or Short circuit between VICS vacuum switch and PCM.
• VICS vacuum switch malfunction.
• VICS solenoid valve malfunction.
• PCM malfunction.
