Intermediate Band: B-Series

Raise and support vehicle. Remove shifter cable and transmission range sensor. Remove and discard intermediate band lock nut. Using torque wrench, tighten intermediate band adjustment screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Back off intermediate band adjustment screw exactly 2 1/2 turns, and hold position. Apply petroleum jelly to locknut seal, and install NEW intermediate band lock nut. While holding intermediate band adjustment screw stationary, tighten intermediate band lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . See Figure. Install shifter cable and transmission range sensor. Lower vehicle.
