HO2S/TWC Monitor Repair Verification Drive Mode
NOTE:
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) PID must be less than 169°F (76°C) to start HO2S/TWC monitor. Fuel level (FLI) PID must be more than 15 percent to start HO2S/TWC monitor. Monitor implement waiting condition will start 5 minutes after engine start. After monitoring conditions are set, system testing requires 30 seconds or more to complete.
- Connect scan tool. Start engine and allow it to reach operating temperature. Ensure Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) PID is 176-239°F (80-115°C). Drive vehicle at a constant speed of 30-127 MPH for at least 2 minutes. Stop vehicle and allow to idle for at least 20 seconds.
- Stop vehicle and access ON BOARD SYSTEM READINESS menu of GENERIC OBD II FUNCTIONS to check drive mode completion status. RFC should change from NO to YES when test is complete. If test is not complete, turn ignition off. Repeat previous step. If test is complete, check test results in DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS menu of GENERIC OBD II FUNCTIONS. If results are okay (MEAS are within specification), ensure no DTCs are present. If no DTCs are present, repairs are complete. If results are not okay (MEAS are not within specification), repairs are not complete.
