Brake Switch
NOTE:
Brake switch consists of brakelight switch and cruise control brake switch.
- Disconnect brake switch harness connector. Check continuity between terminals "A" and "B" at brake switch. See Fig 1 . With brake pedal depressed, continuity should exist. With brake pedal released, continuity should not exist. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, replace brake switch.
- Check continuity between terminals "C" and "D" at brake switch. With brake pedal depressed, continuity should not exist. With brake pedal released, continuity should exist. If continuity is as specified, brake switch is okay at this time. If continuity is not as specified, replace brake switch.
