Dashboard Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the passenger-side air bag module. (See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the A-pillar trim. (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the console. (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the lower panel.
- Remove the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the glove compartment. (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the hood release lever.
- Remove the control wire of the heater unit and blower unit. (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL .) (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the installation bolts and nuts fixing the steering shaft to the dashboard, and pull down the steering shaft.
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
