Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. ABS CM is mounted on ABS hydraulic unit (located on right front of vehicle). See Fig 1
. Remove battery. Remove air cleaner. Disconnect brakelines from hydraulic unit. Disconnect ABS CM electrical connector. Remove hydraulic unit mounting nuts. Remove ABS CM and hydraulic unit as an assembly.
- Remove ABS CM mounting bolt and screws. Separate ABS CM from hydraulic unit. See Fig 1
. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten ABS CM mounting screws to specification in a crisscross sequence. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
. Add fluid and bleed air from system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM
