Dashboard Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the glove compartment.
- Remove the console.
- Remove the meter hood.
- Remove the instrument cluster.
- Remove the column cover.
- Remove the lower panel.
- Remove the steering shaft.
- Remove the A-pillar trims.
- Remove the front scuff plates.
- Remove the front side trims.
- Remove the side panels.
- For vehicles equipped with the wire-type climate control unit, disconnect the wires for the front A/C unit. (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL .) (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the dashboard harness connectors.
- Remove the bolts.
- Pull out the support pins from the body to remove the dashboard.WARNING:
- Removing the dashboard without supporting it can be dangerous. The dashboard may fall and injure you. Always perform these procedures together with at least another person.
- Take the dashboard off from the driver-side door opening.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
