VTCS Solenoid Check

Remove solenoid. Check solenoid airflow. See Fig 1 . Apply battery voltage to solenoid. Check airflow. See Fig 1 . If solenoid is okay, check vacuum lines. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, Check for open or short in wiring. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Repair as necessary.
