Removal & Installation

  1. Position the steering gear boot cover aside.

  2. NOTE: The nut cannot be reused. Install a new nut.
  3. Disconnect the steering column shaft from the flexible coupling.
    1. Remove and discard the nut.
    2. Disconnect the steering column shaft from the flexible coupling.

  4. Remove the steering gear boot.
    1. Remove the nuts.
    2. Remove the steering gear boot.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
