Lower Arm: Removal

Remove the wheel and tire.
Lower the vehicle on the hoist.

Position a floor jack under the ball joint and raise the control arm until the vehicle starts to rise off the hoist.

Record the ride height.
Remove the floor jack.
Raise the vehicle on the hoist.
Separate the lower ball joint from the wheel knuckle.
1. Remove the pinch bolt.

2. Separate the lower ball joint from the wheel knuckle.
Support the subframe.

Remove the lower arm.
- Remove the lower arm bolts (1).
- Remove the lower arm (2).
