Timing Chain - 3.0L and 4.0L Engines: Notes

Refer to TIMING CHAIN & SPROCKETS in 3.0L V6 article or TIMING CHAIN & SPROCKETS in 4.0L V6 article in ENGINE for the removal and installation of the timing chain and sprockets.

Make sure the timing marks on the crankshaft sprocket and the camshaft sprocket are positioned across from each other as shown in the illustration.
