VTCS Solenoid Check

Remove solenoid. Check solenoid airflow. See Fig 1 . Apply battery voltage to solenoid. Check airflow. See Fig 1 . If solenoid is okay, check vacuum lines. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, Check for open or short in wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Repair as necessary.
