Engine Identification

Engine can be identified by engine code and number. Engine code and number are stamped on flange at upper right rear of cylinder block deck, as viewed from flywheel. The 1.5L engine is identified as code Z5. Vehicles with VIN JM1 BC141*W0 19473 or later, no longer use the camshaft timing chain and chain adjuster and use 2 camshaft pulleys driven by the timing belt.
