System Operation

PCV valve is operated by intake manifold. With engine idling, PCV valve is slightly open and a small amount of blow-by gas is drawn into upper intake manifold to be reburned. PCV valve opens further as engine speed increases, allowing a larger amount of blow-by gas to be drawn into upper intake manifold.
