Test D - Passenger Window Does Not Operate
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove and disconnect passenger window switch harness connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage at terminal No. 3 (Light Blue/Black wire) at passenger window switch harness connector. See Fig 1
. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open in Light Blue/Black wire. Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 4 (White/Yellow wire) at passenger window switch harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 2 (Tan/Light Blue wire) at passenger window switch harness connector. If either resistance reading is greater than 14 ohms, go to next step. If both resistance readings are 14 ohms or less, go to step 4).
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove and disconnect master window switch. Measure resistance in White/Yellow wire between terminal No. 4 at master window switch harness connector and terminal No. 4 at passenger window switch harness connector. See Figure
and Figure
. Measure resistance in Tan/Light Blue wire between terminal No. 1 at master window switch harness connector and terminal No. 2 at passenger window switch harness connector. If both resistance readings are 5 ohms or less, replace master window switch. Clear DTCs and retest system operation. If either resistance reading is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in White/Yellow or Tan/Light Blue wire(s). Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
- Connect jumper wire between terminals No. 4 (White/Yellow wire) and No. 1 (Yellow/Red wire) at passenger window switch harness connector. Connect another jumper wire between terminals No. 3 (Light Blue/Black wire) and No. 5 (Red/Yellow wire) at passenger window switch harness connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If passenger's window operates in DOWN direction, replace passenger's window switch. Clear DTCs and retest system operation. If passenger window does not operate in DOWN direction, remove jumper wires and go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect jumper wire between terminals No. 5 (Red/Yellow wire) and No. 2 (Tan/Light Blue wire) at passenger window switch harness connector. Connect another jumper wire between terminals No. 1 (Yellow/Red wire) and No. 3 (Light Blue/Black wire) at passenger window switch harness connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If passenger window operates in UP direction, replace passenger's window switch. Clear DTCs and retest system operation. If passenger window does not operate in UP direction, remove jumper wires and go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect passenger's door window motor harness connector. Measure resistance in Yellow/Red wire between terminal No. 1 at passenger window switch harness connector and passenger door window motor harness connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Yellow/Red wire. Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
- Measure resistance in Red/Yellow wire between terminal No. 5 at passenger window switch harness connector and passenger window motor connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace passenger door window motor. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Red/Yellow wire. Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
