One-Touch Down Relay

  1. Remove one-touch down relay. Measure resistance between terminal No. 2 and all other terminals of relay. See Figure . If all resistance readings are greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If any resistance reading is 5 ohms or less, replace one-touch down relay.
  2. Using 2 fused jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to relay terminals No. 1 and 3. Measure voltage at terminal No. 4. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace one-touch down relay.
  3. With both jumper wires connected as in step 2), connect another jumper wire between ground and relay terminal No. 2. Measure voltage at terminal No. 5. If battery voltage does not exist, replace one-touch down relay. If battery voltage exists, one-touch down relay is okay at this time.
