Headliner Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Partially peel back the seaming welt.
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. Roof side trim (See ROOF SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Sunroof seaming welt (vehicles with sunroof)
    3. A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Rear seat (See REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Inner scuff plate (See INNER SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Rear pillar trim (See REAR PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Map light (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Interior light (See INTERIOR LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Sunvisor (See SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. Assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the roof wiring harness connector and remove the roof wiring harness connector clip from the body.
  5. Remove the fasteners.

  6. Detach the tab from the roof panel and remove the headliner.
  7. Take the headliner out from the opened passenger-side door.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
