Rotor & Slip Rings

Measure resistance between the rotor slip ring contacts. See Figure. If resistance is not within specification, replace rotor. See the ROTOR RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Check continuity between individual slip rings and rotor core/shaft. If continuity exists, replace rotor.
