Function Test

Disconnect actuator cable from accelerator. Start engine to supply vacuum to actuator diaphragm. Apply battery voltage and ground to specified terminals of actuator and observe actuator arm. See ACTUATOR FUNCTION TEST  . SeeFigure . If actuator arm does not function as specified, replace actuator.

Apply 12 Volts To Terminals "B" & "C"
& Ground Terminals "A" & "D" Pull
Apply 12 Volts To Terminal "C"
& Ground Terminals "A", "B" & "D" Hold
Apply 12 Volts To Terminals "C" & "D"
& Ground Terminals "A" & "B" Extend
Disconnect All Voltage & Ground Release
2.5L
Apply 12 Volts To Terminal "A"
& Ground Terminals "B", "C" & "D" Pull
Apply 12 Volts To Terminal "A"
& Ground Terminals "B" & "C" Hold
Apply 12 Volts To Terminal "A"
& Ground Terminal "B" Extend
Disconnect All Voltage & Ground Release
