Temperature Gauge
NOTE:
After changing checker resistance value, allow one minute for needle to stabilize.
- Disconnect temperature gauge sending unit connector. Turn ignition on. Verify temperature gauge needle indicates cold. Ground White wire terminal of temperature gauge sending unit connector (instrument cluster side of harness connector). Verify temperature gauge needle indicates hot. If temperature gauge needle does not operate as specified, go to next step.
- Remove instrument cluster. Loosen screws for terminals "A", "C" and "D" on rear of instrument cluster. SeeFig 1 . DO NOT loosen screws too much or resistance cannot be measured properly. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between temperature gauge terminals on rear of instrument cluster as specified. If resistance is not as specified, replace temperature gauge.
