Cruise Control Switch

WARNING: Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. DO NOT  apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.

Remove driver's air bag. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Disconnect 3-pin cruise control switch connector. Check resistance between specified terminals of cruise control switch with switch in specified position. See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH TEST  . SeeFig 1 . If resistance is not as specified, replace cruise control switch.

Switch Position Terminals Specification
SET/COAST A & B 240 Ohms
RESUME/ACCEL A & B 910 Ohms
