Test No. 9

  1. Remove steering column shrouds. Access combination switch connector. Turn ignition switch on. With washer switch on, measure voltage at terminal "M" (Blue/Orange wire) of combination switch connector (backprobe connector). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check wiper/washer switch. See STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article.
  2. Remove mud guard. While operating washer, measure voltage at terminal "B" (Blue/Orange wire) of washer motor connector (backprobe connector). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Blue/Orange wire between combination switch and washer motor.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect washer motor connector. Check for continuity between terminal "A" (Black/Yellow wire) of washer motor connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If continuity exists, check washer motor. See FRONT WASHER MOTOR TEST under COMPONENT TESTS  . If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black/Yellow wire between washer motor and ground.
