Torque Converter End Play Check

With torque converter removed from transaxle, position End Play Checking Device (49 UN01 123 ) and Sleeve (49 UN01 120 ) in converter hub. Tighten nut on device. Position a dial indicator on device. Position dial indicator pointer on the converter shell. See Fig 1 . Lift up on device handles. If dial indicator reading exceeds .050" (1.27 mm), replace converter.
