Change Motor Position Switch

  1. Remove change motor from transaxle. See CHANGE MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Connect ohmmeter between change motor position switch connector terminals "A" and "D" of change motor. Connect positive lead of battery to terminal No. 2A of change motor connector and negative lead to terminal No. 2B. See Fig 1 . Rotate change motor one revolution and check for continuity.
  2. Move ohmmeter leads to terminals "B" and "D". Rotate change motor one revolution. Continuity should be present. Move ohmmeter leads to terminals "C" and "D" and repeat continuity check. If any continuity test fails, replace change motor.
